UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal north Minneapolis shooting
The Minneapolis Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that left one man dead early Saturday morning.
According to police, just before 2 a.m., police responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 1100 block of Irving Avenue North. While en route, 911 calls came in reporting a shooting.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult male deceased inside a home.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, said police.
The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab personnel responded and processed the scene, collecting evidence.
While the Homicide detectives arrived on the scene and spoke with people who may have seen or heard something. The other officers canvassed the area.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Kevin Beasley, 27, of Minneapolis.

Police also stated that another shooting happened, but is unrelated to the previous shooting above happened at 1:05 a.m. near 2000 block of Elliott Avenue North.
The victim has no life-threatening injuries.
According to police, there is no suspect yet and the victim was not being cooperative with the police.
