SWAT surrounds Brooklyn Park home after "beaten" man escapes Tuesday afternoon

Brooklyn Park Police responded to a call of a wounded man who said he escaped a home where he was beaten and allegedly imprisoned for more than a day.

The victim had his hands tied behind his back when he fled a home in the 6600 block of Ronald Place around 3:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police said he was bleeding after being "beaten pretty bad" and was taken to the ER for treatment.

Officers said the victim believes he was held for "between 24 and 36 hours."

A SWAT team then executed a search warrant at the nearby residence.

Police said no one was inside the home at the time the warrant was served and no arrests were made.

Officers did find evidence that the victim was held captive.

The investigation is ongoing.
