State Patrol: More than 200 crashes statewide Saturday

As falling snow and winter weather continue to make driving conditions difficult and roads slick, the Minnesota State Patrol has reported hundreds of crashes and spinouts across the state.
From 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the State Patrol reported 204 crashes, of which 19 had injuries — one in Renville County involved serious injuries. A total of 236 vehicles spun out and one semi jackknifed statewide.

Meteorologist Matt Serwe cautioned that snow was covering many roads across central and southern parts of the state as the evening continued.
