St. Paul police investigating homicide in city’s West Side neighborhood
St. Paul police say they were called to the 400 block of South Clinton Avenue shortly after 12 a.m. Monday for a report of a person down on the ground and behind a home.
A man is dead after being shot overnight in St. Paul’s West Side neighborhood, according to police, who add this is the city’s 29th homicide of the year.
St. Paul police say they were called to the 400 block of South Clinton Avenue shortly after 12 a.m. Monday for a report of a person down on the ground and behind a home.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the man, adding he had been shot. He died at the scene.
Police later identified him as 23-year-old David Lashawn Isaac, from St. Paul.
Currently, investigators are still looking into what happened before the shooting and trying to find a suspect.
Police are also asking anyone who lives in the area to share security video footage in order to help their investigation.
