St. Paul man who died after Frogtown shooting identified
A man who died after a shooting in St. Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood Friday has been identified.
Regis A. Jones, 31, died after the shooting, according to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident happened in the area of Blair Avenue and Dale Street North. When St. Paul officers responded to the 911 call at 11:30 a.m. Friday, they found a man with a gunshot wound lying on the ground in a residence’s backyard.
Police said the man, identified as Jones, was unresponsive. Although responding officers attempted life-saving measures, Jones died at the scene.

St. Paul police reported Monday an arrest had been made in connection with the shooting. Police said a 27-year-old man was arrested in Shakopee and is being held on suspicion of murder.
