SPPD: Charges being considered against over 50 people in May looting, public help still needed

Authorities say dozens of people have been charged or may be charged after looting in St. Paul in May, but more help from the public is needed.

St. Paul police said the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office has brought charges, or is considering charges, against more than 50 people.

Police said they believe they can get another 50 people charged if they continue to get help from the community in identifying suspects.

The department said it will now post a new suspect every day on social media to try to get help from the community.

"Our business owners work too hard and give too much to our community to just forget about the victimization they incurred," SPPD said.

The suspect pictured by the department Thursday was inside the T-Mobile store on Old Hudson Road and, along with others, made off with phones from the store back in May.

Anyone who has information on the suspect is asked to contact SPPD at 651-266-5900 or email SPPD-CUITF@ci.stpaul.mn.us and reference suspect D76.
