Shooting kills 1 in south Minneapolis

Authorities say a man died after he was shot outside a residence Thursday night in south Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson John Elder, officers responded to a report of shots fired just before 9 p.m. Thursday in the area of 22nd Street East and 13th Avenue South. While they were en route, dispatch notified them that callers had reported a shooting.
When police arrived on scene, they were advised that the victim who was shot had already been taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
Officers went to the hospital to find the victim, a man in his mid-20s, had suffered "grave" injuries, Elder said. He died shortly after the officers arrived.
No one is in custody at this time, Elder said.

The shooting remains under investigation. This is the 11th homicide of 2020 in Minneapolis.
