Sheriff: Man arrested in Wisconsin allegedly stabbed father to death, injured mother
Authorities have arrested a man who is believed to have stabbed his father to death and injured his mother in a domestic attack Saturday afternoon in northwest Wisconsin.
According to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office, emergency crews responded to a report of a deadly domestic incident just before 1 p.m. in the town of Hayward, Wisconsin.
Law enforcement officers found a male victim, identified as Thomas L. Farnsworth, 72, of St. Paul, who appeared to have died from a stab wound.
Another victim, Juli A. Farnsworth, 65, of St. Paul, was found with severe facial injuries and lacerations. She was airlifted to a hospital in Minnesota to be treated for her injuries. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
Deputies arrested Peter D. Farnsworth, 34, of Rocky Ford, Colorado, who is reportedly the son of the two victims. He is in custody at the Sawyer County Jail on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide and substantial battery.
Several law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
