Severe thunderstorm warnings expire, rain expected Tuesday

Severe thunderstorm warnings that were issued in the region have since expired.

A number of severe thunderstorm warnings were issued throughout the evening Monday for metro and central Minnesota counties.

After Monday’s thunderstorms, Minnesotans can expect more rain Tuesday, according to KSTP Meteorologist Wren Clair.

Clair said some scattered rain showers are likely Tuesday morning. She added there is a chance for storms Tuesday afternoon and evening.

More rainfall will continue into the week, with rain likely Wednesday and Thursday.
