Robbinsdale woman’s ex-husband charged with 2nd-degree murder

A Robbinsdale woman’s ex-husband has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to her death.
Sixty-four-year-old Robert Dewayne McCloud, of Brooklyn Center, has been charged after Robbinsdale police found 48-year-old Lauri Deatherage dead during a welfare check at a home Friday.
A criminal complaint states the following:
After finding Deatherage, officers learned McCloud had recently purchased a gun and had been at the residence that day.
Officers then went to McCloud’s residence. They found a pistol, ammunition and a key labeled as belonging to Deatherage’s house, among other evidence.
Officers also discovered McCloud had recorded video statements about Deatherage remarrying and mailed them to family members.
An autopsy revealed Deatherage suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
McCloud remains in custody.
