A quick burst of snow affected travel in central and southeast parts of Minnesota Wednesday morning.
Sleet and freezing rain covered roads in the area, creating slick road conditions.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until 5 p.m. Wednesday for the area east of a line from Blue Earth through Faribault and Red Wing. The alert covers Menomonie and Chippewa Falls as well.
