I-94 in Minneapolis reopens after BCA finishes use-of-force investigation; no injuries reported

Eastbound I-94 between Dowling Avenue North and West Broadway Avenue in Minneapolis has been closed since around 12:30 a.m. Sunday while the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigates a use-of-force by State Patrol.

According to State Patrol, troopers responded to a crash on I-94 eastbound near Dowling Avenue around 10:15 p.m. Saturday. The incident then “turned into a use of deadly force,” State Patrol said.

Both the State Patrol and the BCA confirmed that nobody was injured in the use of force.

One person was arrested, but State Patrol did not release why.
