Police chase leads to 3 arrested after Brooklyn Park armed carjacking
Three men were arrested and one victim was taken to the hospital after an armed carjacking Friday night, Brooklyn Park Police said.
Officers went to the 7600 block of Jolly Lane around 7:50 p.m. and discovered that suspects had assaulted a victim with a weapon and then stolen the victim’s car.
Police say they quickly found the stolen car in the 5800 block of North 73rd Avenue, but it sped off despite efforts to stop it.
Authorities chased the suspects and used a “Pursuit Intervention Technique” to disable the vehicle in the 6300 block of Brooklyn Boulevard.
The Minnesota State Patrol Air Unit, the Brooklyn Center Police Department and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office worked together to arrest the suspects.
Three men were taken into custody, Brooklyn Park Police said.
Police found four firearms.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
