MSHSL approves patch honoring injured Waseca police officer Arik Matson

The Minnesota State High School League approved a patch that will be worn on Waseca High School hockey sweaters.
According to a post on the MSHSL Facebook page, the patch will feature officer Arik Matson's badge number, 222.
Previously the MSHSL had denied the Waseca High School boys hockey team from wearing honorary sweaters for officer Matson as they did not meet MSHSL guidelines for honorary patches.
In other good news, Matson's reconstruction surgery on Monday went well, according to an update on his CaringBridge page.
