Minnesota State Fair announces increase in admission ticket prices
The Minnesota State Fair Board of Managers has approved an increase in regular gate admission tickets.
According to a news release from Minnesota State Fair, regular gate admission for adults (age 13-64) will be $18. Those tickets were $17 in 2022. Tickets for children between the ages of 5 and 12 and seniors older than 65 will be priced at $16. Tickets for children under 4 will still be free.
Pre-fair discount options are also available on the Minnesota State Fair website. Those tickets are $14 for adults but will rise to $15 on Feb. 1.
On-site parking for cars and trucks will be $20 and motorcycles will be $15.
Minnesota State Fair CEO Jerry Hammer cited a number of rising costs as the reason for the ticket price increase, including fair production, public safety, facilities upkeep and other services like the free park and ride system.
The fair runs from Aug. 24-Sept. 4 in 2023.
