Minneapolis apartment fire displaces 5
Five people have been displaced after a fire at a Minneapolis apartment building.
According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, crews were called to the 3500 block of Girard Avenue N. at about 8:12 p.m. Sunday.
When they arrived, they found heavy black smoke, as well as flames, coming from the second floor.
Although no one was injured, fire officials say a cat was found dead.
As of this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.
