Man shot, killed at Minneapolis Metro Transit station identified
The man who was shot and killed at a Metro Transit station in Minneapolis last week has been identified.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 29-year-old Malcom Jamal Williams.
His cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds and the manner was ruled as homicide.

According to Minneapolis Police, officers were called to the Metro Transit station on the 2300 block of East Lake Street at 2:25 p.m. on Dec. 24. When they arrived at the scene, officers found Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. Lifesaving efforts were attempted but Williams was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Police said they believe the shooting began as a fight between two people before escalating.
The shooter fled the scene before police arrived. No arrests have been announced as of Tuesday afternoon.
