Man killed in Brooklyn Park crash identified

Authorities have identified the man who died in a crash last Friday in Brooklyn Park.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, the man who died after his vehicle crashed on eastbound Highway 610 at Highway 252 was 31-year-old Christopher Nimpson, of Brooklyn Park.

The medical examiner’s office says Nimpson died of multiple blunt force injuries due to the crash, which happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. on June 17.

Authorities reported last Friday that an eastbound Volkswagen Jetta on Highway 610 left the road, rolled into a ditch and then hit a bridge pillar.

The incident report went on to say the driver appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash happened due to the amount of damage done to the vehicle. No signs of impairment were reported.
