Man injured in Fridley shooting

Police say they’re investigating a shooting Wednesday evening in Fridley.
According to Fridley police, multiple departments were called to the 6500 block of Central Avenue Northeast just after 8:40 p.m. for a report of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot outside.
The man was then hospitalized.
Police haven’t released any details regarding his condition or age, as well as what led up to the shooting.

Thursday afternoon, police said an 18-year-old is in custody in connection to the shooting. However, he hasn’t yet been formally charged.
Police say they are still investigating the shooting and aren’t able to provide any other information at this time.
