Human remains found inside burned camper Friday morning
Deputies from the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office located a body inside an burned RV, according to a news release sent Friday evening.
Deputies responded to the RV fire in the 4900 block of Kalevala Township, about 11 miles northwest of Moose Lake, just after 8 a.m. Friday morning.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found a “5th wheel type camper” engulfed in flames.
After firefighters put out the blaze, deputies located human remains inside the camper.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious at this time.
The deceased person will be identified after next of kin has been notified.
