Hennepin Co. Sheriff Hutchinson taking indefinite health-related leave of absence
Hennepin County Sheriff David Hutchinson is taking a leave of absence.
The county confirmed Thursday that Hutchinson’s absence is indefinite and for health-related reasons.
While he’s on leave, Hennepin County Chief Deputy Tracey Martin will lead operations at the sheriff’s office.
Hutchinson’s term is set to conclude at the end of the year, and he said in February that he won’t seek reelection.
