Frogtown shooting leaves man in critical condition

A man is in critical condition following a shooting Thursday night in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul, authorities said.
St. Paul Police Department spokesman Mike Ernster said officers are investigating a shooting that occurred around 7:45 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Van Buren Avenue.
Police found an adult male victim in the area of Rice Street and West Pennsylvania Avenue after receiving a 911 call, according to police. The man had driven himself there with apparent gunshot wounds in the chest and arm.
The victim was taken to Regions Hospital, where he is in critical condition, Ernster said.
No arrests have been made.
The events leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
