1 hospitalized following St. Paul duplex fire

Officials say one person was taken to an area hospital after a St. Paul duplex fire in the Frogtown neighborhood Tuesday morning.

According to the St. Paul Fire Department, crews were called to the 300 block of Charles Avenue at about 5:23 a.m.

When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the duplex.

They were able to extinguish the flames, and are currently investigating the cause.

Officials weren’t able to provide any other details on the person who was taken to the hospital, other than they were an occupant, and were evaluated before being brought there.
