Fridley police find man dead Friday after possible hit-and-run
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is looking for any possible witnesses after police officers found a man dead Friday evening in Fridley.
Around 5:17 p.m. Friday, Fridley officers went to the area of the 6000 block of East River Road Northeast for a report of a person lying on the ground.
Responders determined the man was dead when they arrived. The sheriff’s office says it appears the man was hit by a vehicle.
No details about the man have been released.
While agencies investigate, the sheriff’s office is looking for possible witnesses or people who may have helpful information. Investigators can be reached at 763-427-1212.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are assisting the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Fridley Police Department.
