Dayton’s project in downtown Minneapolis nearly finished but won’t open until after spring 2021

For the first time, we are getting a look inside the newly renovated Dayton’s project in downtown Minneapolis.
The former legendary department store is turning into an office, retail, and entertainment space.
The more than $200 million project has a library, lounges and fitness center for people who will work inside the building.
"We have an incredible building that’s not repeatable anywhere else and everything in the incredible structure is brand new," developer Brian Whiting with Telos Group said.

The building has 1.2 million square feet of office space. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the building does not have any tenants.
"COVID clarity for us means when corporations are feeling comfortable to make decisions on when they are back to work and what their workspace is going to look like after the fact," Whiting said.
The building is set to open after the spring of 2021.
