Crash closes portion of I-94 E Friday night

A portion of Interstate 94 is expected to remain closed for a couple of hours Friday night.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting that the road will be closed at Exit 228: Dowling Avenue North on I-94 eastbound, near north Minneapolis, due to a serious crash.
Several law enforcement squads were at the scene in the 8 o’clock hour.
The Metro Transit Police Department will be the lead agency on the crash investigation and the State Patrol will assist.
