Brooklyn Park police searching for 3 armed robbery suspects
Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened shortly after midnight Friday morning.
According to Brooklyn Park police, officers who were on a routine patrol were flagged down by a pedestrian on the 7100 block of Zane Avenue North around 12:15 a.m.
The person, identified by police as a 54-year-old man, then told police he had been robbed at gunpoint by three people, about a block away from the Huntington Place Apartment complex, adding one of the suspects had hit him on the head with a hand gun.
The man went on to say one of the suspects pointed the gun at him, demanding money.
According to the victim, the three suspects – who were all identified by police as men – ran away.
Police say the man refused medical treatment, and although officers searched the area with a K9, they weren’t able to find the suspects.
Brooklyn Park police described the three suspects as the following:
- 16-21-year-old Black man who was wearing a gray sweatshirt and black jogging pants
- 16-21-year-old Black man wearing a black shirt and black pants, and also had chest-length dreds with gold tips
- 16-21-year-old Black man wearing a black shirt and black pants
