Missing Wisconsin teen found safe, suspect in custody

UPDATE 10/3/22 – Authorities say a man is in custody after allegedly being connected to the disappearance of a Wisconsin teen, who has since been found safe.
According to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Trevor Blackburn was arrested Sunday night.
An Amber Alert for a 15-year-old was canceled after she was found safe around 8 p.m. Sunday.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office says Blackburn was arrested by members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Superior’s Police Department.
Multiple agencies were involved with this investigation, including the FBI, the Wisconsin Department of Justice, the Wisconsin State Patrol, as well as multiple Sheriff’s Offices and local police departments.
No other details about the case have been released.

UPDATE 10/2/22: The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office has posted an updated photo for Trevor Blackburn, the man authorities believe may be with a missing 15-year-old girl.
The sheriff is also asking community members to call the office at 715-726-7700, extension 1, if they have come across a person walking in the last few days and have given them a ride in the Cornell and Holcombe area.
No further updates have been provided at this time.
Law enforcement is looking for a missing 15-year-old girl in western Wisconsin.
The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office said on their Facebook page that an active amber alert has been put out for a 15-year-old, who is missing out of Holcombe, Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin amber alert page states that she could be with 22-year-old Trevor D. Blackburn.
The teen is described as a white girl weighing about 150 pounds with blonde or strawberry hair with hazel eyes. She has a small scar on her nose by her eye and another scar on her left shoulder and is about 5-foot-3-inches tall.
Trevor Blackburn is described as a white man with brown hair and a tattoo of his name on his chest. He also has a heart tattoo on his inner forearm.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 715-726-7700 and press option 1.
