4 men arrested following shooting at vigil site, officer injured during arrest

Minneapolis police say an officer is recovering from minor injuries after getting punched in the face by one of four men who were arrested following a shooting late Thursday night.
According to police, officers were called to a report of people with guns in a parking lot near the intersection of First Avenue North and Fourth Street North at 9:22 p.m. Thursday.
Officials say when they arrived, they began surveying a crowd which had gathered in the lot for a vigil related to a shooting earlier that morning that had killed a man in his 40s.

Police say shots were fired, adding some may have come from inside an SUV that was driving by and ended up crashing. Police say the people inside the vehicle ran from the scene.
Although fully automatic gunfire was heard, according to police, no one was injured.
In addition, police say they learned the SUV was stolen, and it was taken to an impound lot. Police added a handgun with a drum magazine was also found.
The names of the four poeople who were arrested haven’t been released as of this time.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
