2019 a record-breaking year for travelers at MSP

Last year was a record-breaking one for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) in terms of its number of travelers.

The airport said Thursday that a total of 39,555,036 people flew to or from MSP in 2019. That's a 4% increase from 2018, MSP said.

"Thank you to each and every one of you who helped us hit this milestone!" the airport said in a social media post.

According to the airport's website, MSP is the 17th busiest airport in the U.S. for passengers and 12th for aircraft operations. More than 400,000 landings and takeoffs occur at MSP each year.
