2 found injured on I-94 following separate shootings
Two people were found injured Monday on Interstate 94 after they had been shot in separate incidents.
The city of Minneapolis said the Minnesota State Patrol was called to westbound I-94 near 49th Avenue North at about 1:15 p.m. and found a vehicle pulled over with a person inside suffering from a gunshot wound. Minneapolis police also responded to help.
The victim suffered a non-life-threatening leg wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Minneapolis police are investigating that shooting.
Then, at around 2:21 p.m., Brooklyn Center police responded to a reported shooting near I-94 and 57th Avenue North.

A man who had been shot while he was in the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to the Brooklyn Center Police Department, the suspect vehicle is a black Jeep with three occupants. The shooting was not believed to be random.
It’s not yet clear if the two shootings were related.
