2 charged in connection to MOA shots fired call now in Hennepin County jail

Two men who are charged in connection to gunshots being fired at Mall of America earlier this month have arrived at Hennepin County jail.

Monday, Shamar Lark and Rashad May were listed on the Hennepin County jail roster. They were arrested more than two weeks ago in Chicago and had been awaiting extradition.

Lark — the person accused of firing the gun inside the mall — is charged with second-degree assault, discharge of a dangerous weapon and carrying a pistol in public without a permit. May is charged with aiding an offender, as are three others.

Lark and May are scheduled to make their first court appearances Monday afternoon.
