Domestic assault charge against wife of former Sen. Tomassoni dismissed
Court records show prosecutors have dismissed a case that had been filed against Charlotte Tomassoni, alleging domestic abuse.
Tomassoni was previously scheduled to have a pre-trial court appearance next week and a jury trial starting the week of Oct. 12, however, those have since been canceled.
Documents show Charlotte Tomassoni was cited in Chisholm on Sept. 19, 2021, for domestic abuse. A police report states officers were called to the Tomassoni’s home after former state Senator David Tomassoni reported Charlotte had yelled she was going to stab him with a knife, and also told police she had thrown his computer and hit him in the chest with a painting stick.
As previously reported, the former senator died in August after revealing a battle with ALS during the summer of 2021.

Court documents don’t state the exact reasoning for the case dismissal, however, the paperwork which states the case was being dismissed was dated Aug. 18, 2022, just days after the former senator’s death.
