DNR to change CWD sampling process during deer season due to COVID-19
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources announced it will change its approach to chronic wasting disease sampling during deer hunting season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the hunting season, CWD sampling will be voluntary. Hunters will be asked to submit samples from their deer at unstaffed stations.
The DNR announced that additional management zones and surveillance areas have been added.
Hunters that are hunting in the special areas and zones are asked to submit samples to help monitor the spread of CWD.
