Vikings punter earns NFC Player of the Week award
For the second time this month, a Minnesota Vikings player has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Wednesday, the NFL announced punter Ryan Wright had earned the honor.
The NFL says in 10 punts, Wright averaged 44.1 yards, with the longest kick measuring 73 yards during the team’s win in Miami Sunday. The Vikings won 24-16, and currently sit at the top of the NFC North.

As reported by 5 EYEWTINESS NEWS earlier this month, Vikings kicker Greg Joseph took the honor home, after he hit all five field goals against the New Orleans Saints in London.
Joseph’s honor was the first time the team had an NFC Special Teams Player of the Week since 2019.
