Tree-trimmer critically injured after fall from bucket lift

Authorities in Bloomington say Wednesday afternoon a 33-year-old Minneapolis man was injured in a tree-trimming accident on Old Shakopee Road.

According to a press release, a tractor-trailer struck the elbow of a parked boom truck causing the man to fall from the bucket.

Bloomington Police say that the unidentified man was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

The tractor-trailer driver, a 59-year-old man from Belle Plaine, did not show any signs of impairment and is cooperating with investigators.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available.
