Woman struck, killed while walking across Highway 7 in Shorewood

A driver struck and killed a 65-year-old woman who was walking across a highway Friday afternoon in Shorewood, authorities say.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, a Ford F150 pickup truck was turning left from Christmas Lake Road onto the eastbound lanes of Highway 7 around 1 p.m. when it hit the woman, who was using a crosswalk.
