Woman dies after hitting deer in Goodhue County

The Minnesota State Patrol said a woman died Friday after hitting a deer in Goodhue County.

An incident report states that 35-year-old Samantha Diane Johnson and a 38-year-old passenger were driving a 2001 Dodge Neon west on Highway 60 in Minneola Township when the vehicle made contact with a deer.

Johnson died as a result of the crash, while the passenger was unharmed.
