Wayzata microbrewery BrewWorks closes

A popular microbrewery in Wayzata has closed up shop amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

BrewWorks said Tuesday that it is immediately closing without any plans to reopen.

The microbrewery opened in April 2015 and was known for its view of Lake Minnetonka, live music and its beverages.

The owners cited the financial hardships caused by COVID-19 restrictions.
