Victim identified in fatal house fire in Minneapolis
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the man found dead in a residence on fire as 39-year-old Justin Paul Schultz of Minneapolis.
According to the medical examiner, Schultz died from inhalation of products of combustion and thermal injuries due to the fire.
According to a release from the Minneapolis Fire Department, at around 3:20 p.m. on Thursday, fire crews responded to a residential structure fire on the 2500 block of 24th Street East.

When crews arrived, they found a fire showing from the first floor. Crews found a man on the second floor and brought him out of the rear entrance, where paramedics evaluated him for minor injuries.
Schultz was also found on the first floor "in the fire room of content," he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
