Unresponsive man pulled from Red River in Moorhead declared dead
A man who was hospitalized Wednesday night after being pulled from the Red River in Moorhead has died.
Police responded to the 4300 block of South River Haven Road around 4:30 p.m. on a report of a missing person. At the scene, an unresponsive man was pulled from the Red River.
An update from Moorhead Police on Thursday said the man, identified as a 63-year-old resident of Moorhead, had died.
The man’s identity will be released at a later time after family members are notified.
It’s unclear what led up to the incident, and an autopsy to determine his official manner of death will be conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police say they do not believe the public is any risk to public safety at this time.
