2 found dead inside shot-out vehicle near Robbinsdale park

The Robbinsdale Police Department found two people dead inside a car near Lakeview Terrace Park Thursday afternoon.
A news release from the department states that officers responded to an area near 36th Avenue and County Road 81 for a reported shooting at around 3:40 p.m.
Officers then found two dead people inside a car, according to Robbinsdale police.
Video taken by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS showed what appeared to be several bullet holes in the car.
A suspect vehicle was later found abandoned in north Minneapolis, the news release says. Police say that this does not appear to be a random act, and they do not believe there is a risk to public safety.

The identities of the deceased will be identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office once the cause of death is determined and the next of kin has been notified.
