The pre-fair event is happening at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds from May 26 through May 30. On weekdays, it runs from 4:30-9:30 p.m.; on weekends, it’s open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tickets are purchased for a specific day and time slot and are $12.50 each, including fees. Children ages 4 and younger are free. There are 15,000 tickets available for each time slot.
The event includes many food vendors open to eat and drink, music on three stages, entertainment — including the fair mascots, trivia and the Giant Slide — and a number of merchants open for shopping.
