‘Kickoff to Summer’ event returns to the state fair in May

After its debut last year, “Kickoff to Summer at the Fair” returns to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds this May.

According to a release from fair organizers Tuesday, the five-day event will be held May 26-30 and will feature food and drinks, live music, shopping and family activities at the fairgrounds.

“Last year’s ‘Kickoff to Summer’ was even more popular than we had hoped it would be,” State Fair General Manager Jerry Hammer said in a statement. “People really enjoyed getting together for a little slice of the fair, and we’re happy to bring the event back this year.”
