Thousands of toys still needed ahead of Salvation Army gift distribution
The Salvation Army says it is incredibly short of its toy donation goal for this year’s holiday season.
According to the agency, toys and gifts for children ages six and older are still needed for 4,000 more kids.
Time is running short for donations to be made – toy distributions end next week.
Parents of children in need are able to choose one toy valued at $15 or more for each child, or two toys valued at $10 or less. As a result of how toys are distributed, more toys are needed than the actual number of children who will receive them.
Unwrapped new toys can be dropped off at the following locations during normal business hours:
- Minneapolis Temple Service Center
- Minneapolis Parkview Service Center
- Brooklyn Park Noble Service Center
- St. Paul Eastside Service Center
- St. Paul Citadel Service Center
- Lakewood Service Center
- Minneapolis Central Service Center
If you aren’t able to donate a toy at those locations during business hours, you can also drop toys off at the Salvation Army headquarters in Roseville, located at 2445 Prior Avenue North, where a secure receptacle is available 24 hours a day. You can also make a monetary donation by CLICKING HERE. Your money will then be used to buy toys for children.
