Teen suffers life-threatening injuries from crash with semi in Eagan
A 16-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries from a crash involving a semi-truck Tuesday morning.
A crash report from the Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just before 7:40 a.m. Tuesday in the left turn lane of eastbound Highway 55 at Louis Lane in Eagan.
The report states that a semi-truck was stopped in the left turn lane as it was attempting to turn left onto Louis Lane.
A Dodge Grand Caravan driven by the 16-year-old was also eastbound on Highway 55 when it rear-ended the semi in the left turn lane.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Road conditions were considered snowy and icy at the time.
No alcohol is believed to be involved and both drivers were wearing seat belts.
