Teen killed in single vehicle Stearns County crash

A teenager was killed in a single-vehicle crash in St. Augusta, about five miles south of St. Cloud, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators say that Charlie Boike, 17, of St. Augusta, was driving southbound on 23rd Avenue when his vehicle went into the ditch and rolled. The Sheriff’s Office said the roads were slippery at the time.

A passing driver reported the crash to law enforcement and told officers that there was a person

inside the vehicle with unknown injuries.

Despite CPR, Boike died at the scene.

St. Augusta Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
