Store that sold winning Mega Millions ticket receives $50K bonus check Thursday
On Thursday, Minnesota lottery officials presented a check to the store that sold the state’s first jackpot-winning Mega Millions ticket earlier this month.
According to Minnesota Lottery, a check worth $50,000 was given to staff at the Holiday Stationstore located on the 14000 block of Xkimo St. Northwest in Ramsey, Thursday afternoon.
The person who won the jackpot has yet to claim their prize but has a year from the drawing date to do so, according to lottery officials.

According to Mega Millions, the prize is estimated to be $110 million, or $66 million in cash.
The winning numbers are:
- White Balls: 2, 8, 14, 20 and 31
- Gold Mega Ball: 17
As of Sept. 1 of last year, the names and residences of Minnesota residents who win more than $10,000 are considered private.
