State Patrol searching for driver following overnight chase, investigation ongoing

The Minnesota State Patrol says a driver eluded troopers overnight in a chase on Highway 280.
According to the State Patrol, a trooper tried to stop a vehicle shortly after 2 a.m. due to traffic violations on Highway 280 near University Avenue.
However, the agency says the driver didn’t stop and exited to Cedar Avenue from I-94. That’s when the troopers stopped the chase to keep community members safe, but continued to search for the driver with local law enforcement.
Despite their efforts, law enforcement agencies weren’t able to find the driver.
They are continuing to investigate the incident and search for the driver.
