Minnetonka man dies following I-394 crash

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 394 in Golden Valley.
According to an incident report, the State Patrol says an eastbound motorcycle was in the left lane of Highway 394 near Highway 100 when the driver attempted to pass traffic just after 12 p.m.
However, authorities say the motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Endre John Thorkelson of Minnetonka, ran off the road, side swiped a concrete median wall and crashed into a road sign.
Thorkelson, who authorities add was wearing a helmet, died from his injuries.
No other details about the crash were provided.
